The hotel's standout feature is its exceptional location on the Bay of Kotor, offering breathtaking views and serene surroundings. Guests revel in the picturesque setting with waterfront views, the proximity to the Old Town of Kotor and the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The private beach and pool facilities enhance the atmosphere, making it perfect for both relaxation and exploration.
Breakfast at Hotel Splendido receives high praise for its quality and abundance with an extensive buffet featuring fresh, local ingredients served in a stunning setting by the sea. Although some guests suggest minor improvements, the majority find the breakfast delightful and satisfying. Dinner also earns commendation for its exceptional quality and romantic waterside setting, though some note that the prices can be a bit high.
The rooms offer mixed experiences. While many guests appreciate the cleanliness, comfort and stunning views, others point out that the decor is dated and some furnishings need renovation. Daily cleaning and the overall tidy environment contribute positively, but challenges such as soundproofing issues and occasional lapses in amenities are noted.
Staff at Hotel Splendido are often highlighted for their exceptional friendliness and helpfulness. Guests frequently mention the attentive and professional service from the reception to the restaurant, making them feel welcome and well looked after.
The hotel's facilities, including the pool and private beach, are well-maintained and appreciated for their beauty and peaceful ambiance. The pool area with its saltwater and ample sun loungers, is particularly noted for its cleanliness and inviting atmosphere. The private beach, though small, is a lovely and well-maintained spot for relaxation.
Parking presents a mix of experiences. The availability of free and secure parking is a significant advantage, though limited spaces and occasional fees have caused some inconvenience for guests.
WiFi in common areas like the reception and lobby is generally reliable, but the in-room connectivity often receives criticism for being inconsistent or unavailable, highlighting an area for improvement.
Overall, Hotel Splendido provides a memorable stay with its stunning location, high-quality dining, excellent service and beautiful facilities, though there are areas, particularly the room decor, bed comfort and WiFi, where enhancements could further improve guest satisfaction.
