Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation is situated in a peaceful and safe neighborhood, offering easy access to major shops, restaurants and malls. Its central location is ideal for exploring the Plantation area and nearby attractions such as Sawgrass Mills Mall. The hotel is approximately a 30-minute drive from Miami International Airport, adding to its appeal for travelers. Guests appreciate the clean environment, helpful staff and proximity to various amenities, making it a convenient base for shopping sprees and dining.
The breakfast at Hyatt Place garners mixed reviews with many guests praising the quality and variety of offerings such as fruits, breads, oatmeal, eggs, bacon and sausages. The complimentary breakfast and friendly staff contribute positively to the experience. However, some guests feel the breakfast could be improved, citing crowded seating areas, limited variety and occasional issues with food quality. Despite the mixed opinions, the breakfast generally meets the expectations of many guests.
The rooms at Hyatt Place are well-regarded for their generous size, layout and cleanliness. Guests often highlight the spaciousness and well-thought-out room design, including the convenient placement of the bathroom sink. Comfortable beds contribute to a pleasant stay, though some guests report issues with unpleasant smells, dirty carpets and outdated appearances. The cleaning schedule, which operates every other day, does not suit all guests. Despite mixed reviews about the sofa beds, the overall accommodation experience remains positive.
Cleanliness at the hotel receives mixed feedback. While many guests praise the daily cleaning services and general room cleanliness, others report issues such as dirty carpets, unwashed bed linens and foul odors. Common areas have also drawn criticism with some guests finding housekeeping services inconsistent or inadequate. Despite the positive remarks, dissatisfaction with overall cleanliness is noticeable.
The staff at Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation receive consistent praise for their attentiveness, kindness and professionalism. Guests appreciate the friendly, helpful and accommodating nature of the front desk employees with special mentions of individuals going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The staff's dedication to guest satisfaction, including accommodating special requests and assisting with tasks, significantly enhances the overall experience. The kitchen staff also receive commendations for their excellent service.
The hotel pool receives mixed reviews. Guests enjoy the pool and the time spent there, finding it a pleasant addition to the hotel. However, criticisms include occasional closures, the need for a heater due to cold water and cleanliness issues. Despite these concerns, the pool remains a popular amenity among guests.
Opinions on the beds are mixed with many guests finding them comfortable and well-supplied with towels. However, the pull-out sofa beds receive criticism for discomfort and there are some inconsistencies in mattress firmness and pillow support. Issues such as the placement of beds near dirty air conditioners affecting airflow and introducing unpleasant smells are noted. Overall, while main beds are generally praised, alternative sleeping arrangements have notable drawbacks.
In summary, Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation is valued for its strategic location, spacious rooms and excellent staff. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in cleanliness and some amenities, the hotel provides a comfortable and convenient stay for guests.

Its prime location near major highways and attractions like Sawgrass Mills Mall and the Florida Panthers hockey arena is a standout feature, allowing easy access to Fort Lauderdale, Miami and a variety of shopping and dining options. This makes it an ideal base for shoppers and sports enthusiasts.
Breakfast at the hotel receives mixed feedback. While many guests appreciate the complimentary breakfast's convenience, others find it basic and repetitive with limited variety and occasional issues like crowded spaces and absent supplies.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, appreciated for their size and amenities such as microwaves and office desks. Positive remarks are often made about the beds, contributing to restful nights. However, the hotel shows signs of aging with outdated furnishings, maintenance issues and inconsistent cleanliness. Common complaints include musty odors, dirty carpets and occasional pests, indicating a need for renovations and better housekeeping practices.
Cleanliness throughout the property varies with some guests noting clean and quiet rooms and well-maintained public areas. However, many reviews highlight dirty hallways, stained carpeting and moldy smells, alongside inconsistent cleaning services.
The staff receive high praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing positively to the guest experience. While there are occasional reports of delayed check-ins and unfriendliness, most guests find the staff accommodating and professional.
WiFi service at the hotel is inconsistent. While some guests report reliable connectivity, others experience weak signals and poor internet performance, particularly on Android devices.
The outdoor pool area has mixed reviews. Some guests find it attractive and enjoyable, while others have concerns about cleanliness, including green moss and dirty furniture. The pool being unheated and sometimes closed without notice detracts from the overall experience.
