The pool at Motel de la Pente Douce draws a mixed response from guests. On the positive side, when functioning well, the pool and surrounding backyard have been described as very nice and clean, offering a welcoming atmosphere that makes visitors feel at home. Guests appreciate these moments when the outdoor space becomes a pleasant retreat. However, there are significant concerns about the pool's maintenance and overall condition. Many visitors have noted that the pool is not well-maintained, with issues such as greenish water and needing chlorine leading to it being frequently out of order. The pool area appears worn and less inviting at times, contrasting with photos and expectations. As a result, some guests have found the pool to be uninviting or neglected, which detracts from their overall experience at the motel.

Hotel Cheribourg, an Ascend Collection Hotel features both indoor and outdoor pools, which are appreciated by guests for their warmth and contributions to a pleasant stay. Despite being nicely heated, the pools exhibit a range of issues, including maintenance concerns and cloudy waters. The indoor pool, in particular, receives praise for being well-maintained and an enjoyable amenity, but occasional problems such as poor cleanliness and a broken door are noted. Pool surroundings, including a rusty exterior and broken pool table, detract from the experience and some guests report an unpleasant smell and dangerous conditions like sharp objects near the pool. Although the outdoor pool is enjoyed by families with children, the need for more lawn chairs and the temporary closures detract from the overall experience. Facilities such as the Jacuzzi often disappoint with low water strength and cleanliness issues. Additional amenities and initiatives, such as a slide for the kids and convenient access to other activities, provide a balanced yet mixed experience for visitors.
