Abbazia San Pietro In Valle is a charming historic hotel that was formerly an abbey. Initially constructed in the 8th century, the abbey was partially destroyed throughout the centuries and was rebuilt again in the 10th and 11th centuries. The abbey passed through the hands of various families, until it was acquired by the Costanzi family who restored it last in 1998. Some of the cells in which monks used to reside have now been turned into lovely guestrooms. There is also a church in the hotel grounds, which still operates in the weekends.
