Residence Hotel Balaton presents a mixed experience for visitors seeking a four-star accommodation. While some guests find value for money in the hotel, others contend that it falls short of the expected four-star standards, especially when compared to other Central European destinations. The rooms are noted to be small for larger parties, detracting from the overall comfort. Concerns are raised about the hotel's decline over time, suggesting it might not fully deserve its four-star rating. Language barriers with staff add to the challenges, as fluency in English is expected but not always provided.
Despite these shortcomings, the culinary offerings receive high praise, marking the hotel as a top contender in terms of food among global four-star hotels. There is recognition from several guests regarding the hotel's foreign peers that uphold strong four-star qualities, setting a benchmark. Unfortunately, service issues, such as slow table clearing and a closed bar area lacking ambiance, impact the guest experience negatively. Nevertheless, some visitors highlight the hotel's fair price and quality, presenting it as a worthwhile option for domestic travelers. For those seeking specific four-star elements, there may be noteworthy aspects, but expectations should be balanced given the disparity in experiences.

Hotel Yacht Wellness & Business, despite its four-star rating, presents several areas needing improvement that align more closely with a three-star standard. Many guests have expressed dissatisfaction with the hotel's overall quality, indicating that it falls short of the expectations typically associated with a four-star establishment.
The wellness area and services, although adequate, are not particularly impressive. Certain amenities, such as the lack of hairdryers in the rooms and inconsistencies in the catering service, further diminish the hotel's appeal. Guests have also highlighted issues with room conditions, including unpleasant odors which significantly affected their stay.
A common sentiment among visitors is that the quality-to-price ratio does not justify the four-star rating, leading to feelings of being overcharged. In summary, while the hotel offers some services that might align with a higher rating, the overall experience suggests a need for aligning its star rating and pricing with more realistic expectations.
