Punta Campanella Resort & Spa, located in the picturesque Marina del Cantone, is highly praised for its spectacular beachfront location and breathtaking sea views, offering a serene and convenient base for travelers. Its proximity to local dining options, including a Michelin-starred restaurant and easy access to destinations such as Capri, Amalfi and Positano make it an attractive choice for day trips. The hotel's setting in a charming seaside resort is complemented by frequent commendations for the friendly and helpful staff, enhancing the overall guest experience.
The breakfast at Punta Campanella Resort & Spa receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, noted for its generous, varied and delicious selections served with fantastic views of the sea and harbor. Attentive staff contribute significantly to the pleasant breakfast experience, though a few guests found the offerings to be mediocre in terms of freshness. Nonetheless, the consensus remains that the breakfast is a highlight of the stay.
Guest opinions on the rooms are mixed. While some appreciate the spacious, well-equipped accommodations with private balconies and sea views, many reviews suggest the rooms require renovation and better maintenance. Issues reported include outdated decor, cleanliness concerns, mold, bad odors and insect presence. Some guests also mentioned problems with non-functional air conditioning and uncomfortable bedding. Despite this, newer rooms were noted to be clean and comfortable.
Regarding cleanliness, the property receives both commendations and criticisms. Many guests describe the hotel as very clean and well-maintained, but others point to inconsistencies, such as poorly maintained showers, dirty bathrooms and pervasive bad smells. This indicates variable cleaning standards across the hotel.
The staff at Punta Campanella Resort & Spa earns high marks for their friendliness, professionalism and dedication. Many guests highlight the positive impact of the staff on their overall experience, appreciating their efficient and helpful service. However, a few guests noted less favorable interactions, suggesting occasional issues with warmth and hospitality.
The rooftop pool area generates mixed feelings. While some guests enjoy the ambiance, many criticize the additional costs for usage, describing the pool as small and likening it to a children's pool or bathtub. This has led to disappointment for those expecting complimentary access and better pool facilities.
The hotel’s beach location is highly regarded for its easy access to the shoreline and surrounding beach restaurants. However, the cost of beach chairs and parking are noted as expensive by some guests. The underground covered parking, although secure, requires an additional daily fee, which some guests found excessive.
The beds receive varied feedback with some guests finding them comfortable while others experience issues with firmness and the discomfort of double beds being two singles pushed together. This variation in comfort may affect a guest's decision when staying at the hotel.
Lastly, the hotel's four-star rating is questioned by multiple guests. Concerns include a perceived lack of essential features such as disabled access, ramps, a genuine spa and an adequate pool. The infrastructure is often described as dated and not up to four-star standards, suggesting a discrepancy between the hotel's advertised amenities and the actual experience.
Overall, Punta Campanella Resort & Spa offers a blend of strengths in its prime location, excellent breakfast and commendable staff, tempered by areas needing improvement, particularly in room quality, cleanliness and facilities.

Summary of reviews related to the 'Heated Pool' category
Summarized by AI
Hotel Mary features an array of heated pools that guests frequently praised. The heated pool is generally appreciated for being clean, well-maintained and offering warm water, which many found excellent and a unique feature of the hotel. This included a heated outdoor pool and even an inviting heated infinity pool. Some aspects noted were the small size of the heated pool area and the seasonal accessibility of certain pools. However, it was mentioned that a fee of €20 applies for accessing the heated pool area. Despite these positive aspects, a few reviews highlighted issues with construction and the need for a more properly heated pool, especially since some pools were described as extremely cold when not heated. Overall, the heated pool at Hotel Mary garners positive remarks for adding comfort and enjoyment to the stay, although there are areas that could benefit from improvement and more consistent heating.
