The Duke of Cornwall Hotel offers a welcoming environment for families, including friendly staff and a pet-friendly policy. Families can expect a child-friendly atmosphere with special touches such as rooms decorated with balloons for special occasions like birthdays. For breakfast, child-oriented cereals are available, making mornings a bit easier for parents. Family rooms can be requested and the hotel is good for family holidays with a great location. Despite the positive aspects, there are no specific activities for kids and options during mealtimes are limited, as there is no children's menu and only generally family-friendly meals. The hotel’s vintage charm means it lacks ultramodern facilities, which may appeal to some but not to others. Overall, the Duke of Cornwall is a solid choice for family stays, albeit with a few areas for potential improvement.

The China Fleet Country Club is the perfect family holiday destination with brilliant facilities for all ages. The one-bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of four with two little kids. The park, woodland walk and adventure golf provide endless entertainment for kids, while the aqua spa is perfect for adults wanting to relax. Although the soft play area can become overcrowded with children sometimes, it's still a great bonus. Safety is a top priority and the site feels super safe for children. The breakfast and dinner inclusive deals are great for families and there are different options for kids. They have also added new kids trails, crazy golf and an outdoor café. From the spa to the driving range, there's something to keep everyone entertained. It's a fantastic all-on-site family mini-break, although it can be tricky for a week-long stay. We would love to see more package holiday deals that include families and not just spa breaks.
