Malvern House offers a strategically located and budget-friendly accommodation option that appeals to both business travelers and leisure visitors. Its proximity to the M40 motorway and easy access to London without city hassles are significant advantages. Additionally, being close to the Cressex area, High Wycombe and various local amenities like shops, restaurants and a well-reviewed pub enhances its convenience. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby football ground. The neighborhood is quiet, residential and complemented by ample parking, making it a practical choice for those traveling by car.
The rooms at Malvern House are noted for their spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort with large windows providing ample natural light. Guests highlight the coziness and homely feel, especially those on the second floor. The pet-friendly policy is an added benefit. While some rooms may require updates due to issues such as dated decor or minor maintenance problems, the overall experience is generally comfortable. The availability of a dining room/kitchenette in some rooms adds to the homely feel. However, there are mixed reviews regarding the comfort of the beds with some guests noting them as comfortable, while others point out overly soft or sagging mattresses.
Cleanliness is a standout aspect at Malvern House with guests frequently praising the tidy and well-maintained environment. Despite some comments on the dated appearance of certain rooms, the hotel’s cleanliness remains a strong positive. The property is described as providing good value for money, especially given the clean and pleasant atmosphere it offers.
The staff at Malvern House receive consistent commendation for their friendliness, professionalism and accommodating nature. Notable staff members, such as the manager Rachid, Rosa and Marianna, are frequently mentioned for their exceptional service, contributing significantly to a positive guest experience. The staff's efficiency and helpfulness further enhance the welcoming environment.
However, the breakfast service at Malvern House falls short of expectations. Many guests report the absence of a breakfast offering, contrary to advertisements. While local shops and cafes provide alternatives, the lack of a satisfying breakfast within the hotel is a notable drawback. On the positive side, tea and coffee facilities in the room offer a basic start to the day.
The Wi-Fi service presents another area of concern. Guests often experience poor connectivity and frequent interruptions, making it difficult to maintain a stable internet connection. Despite the advertised availability of Wi-Fi, it remains a significant downside for many guests.
In terms of parking, Malvern House excels with ample off-street parking that is free and easy to find, adding to the overall convenience for guests. The parking facilities receive frequent praise for their adequacy and ease of use.
In summary, Malvern House is recommended for its strategic location, cleanliness, friendly staff and good value for money. While it lacks in areas such as breakfast and Wi-Fi service, its overall comfort and convenience make it a practical choice for travelers looking to explore or work in the area.
