Pazo da Merced, situated on the serene estuary in Neda, offers an enchanting escape with its picturesque waterfront views and tranquil atmosphere. The charming, historic building blends modern comforts with its grand, original architecture, creating a unique and relaxing retreat. Guests delight in spacious rooms that feature large, comfortable beds and stunning views of the river, despite some rooms having limited artificial lighting and slightly outdated bathrooms.
The breakfast at Pazo da Merced is often a highlight, with many praising the delicious buffet selections, including the best scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice. The dining experience at dinner is equally memorable, with top-notch, well-cooked dishes served in unique settings like garden bubble tents, although the restaurant's availability may vary.
Pazo da Merced is noted for its cleanliness and well-maintained gardens, though some guests mention minor improvements needed in areas like pillowcase freshness and room maintenance. The exceptional staff, particularly Juan, Ann, Pablo, Marta, Andrea, and owner Guillermo, receive high praise for their welcoming and attentive service, adding to the overall positive experience of the guests.
The outdoor swimming pool, set amidst lush gardens, offers a perfect spot for relaxation, enhancing the destination's appeal for travelers seeking tranquility and comfort. Despite minor drawbacks, Pazo da Merced stands out for its beautiful setting, delightful culinary offerings, and exemplary staff service, providing guests with a memorable and picturesque escape.
