Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Logis Hôtel du Haut-Bugey is well-regarded for its central location in Oyonnax, which offers convenient access to various transportation options, shops and amenities. Guests particularly appreciate the quiet atmosphere despite its bustling surroundings, thanks to effective soundproofing. Renovations have further enhanced the hotel's appeal, making it an excellent value for money and a popular choice among visitors.
Breakfast at the hotel generally receives high praise for its varied and appetizing selection, including fresh orange juice, pastries, yogurt, cereals, scrambled eggs and cold cuts. Although there are occasional issues like cold scrambled eggs or insufficient fresh products, the breakfast is mainly described as hearty, excellent and exceeding expectations.
Dinner experiences are mixed; the food quality is generally good and reasonably priced, but inconsistent restaurant hours often cause inconvenience. Nonetheless, the hotel staff is noted for their helpfulness in arranging alternative dining options.
The rooms offer a blend of modern comforts and cleanliness with amenities such as coffee makers and kettles, as well as spacious showers and comfortable bedding. However, some guests find the rooms and bathrooms small and in need of better layout or renovation. Despite the older structure, ongoing renovations have improved the overall condition with features like spacious stairs and connecting rooms adding to the positive aspects.
Opinions on cleanliness are varied. While some guests find the hotel clean and organized, others report significant hygiene concerns, such as mold, damp smells and superficial cleaning practices. The hotel is encouraged to enhance its cleaning protocols to meet 3-star expectations.
The staff at Logis Hôtel du Haut-Bugey is frequently praised for their friendliness, attentiveness and overall welcoming nature, greatly contributing to a pleasant stay. Their professionalism and warmth reinforce the hotel's positive reputation.
Parking options are well-acknowledged with free parking across the road and secure underground parking available for a small fee. Despite some minor discrepancies in advertised parking information, guests generally find the parking solutions satisfactory.
The beds receive positive remarks for their comfort and cleanliness, contributing to a restful night's sleep, although there are occasional comments about discomfort due to mattress connectors or general issues.
Overall, Logis Hôtel du Haut-Bugey is appreciated for its prime location, welcoming staff, comfortable accommodations and good breakfast offerings. Some areas, particularly room size and cleaning standards, could benefit from further improvements.
