Split Rock Resort presents a mixed experience when it comes to its pools. There are indoor and outdoor options with the indoor pool often noted for its warm temperature and enjoyable moments for families who found it clean and fun. However, there are several issues mentioned that might dampen the experience. The outdoor pool has been criticized for being cold and dirty with specific complaints about it being overcrowded and over-chlorinated. Maintenance seems to be a recurring issue with reports of the pool being closed for events or due to bacteria and facilities like hot tubs also being occasionally shut.
Guests have noted a lack of towels and cleanliness in the pool areas with some mentioning the presence of band-aids and a general lack of upkeep. The indoor pool has been particularly disappointing for some with it often being closed without notice. Despite these drawbacks, some guests found the pool areas okay and appreciated the amenities when everything was in order, like a functional spa and good seating in the movie theater. The resort also offers a waterpark, though it is seen as small and only worthwhile if guests stay for a few hours. Overall, while the pool facilities have potential, consistent maintenance and better resource management would significantly enhance the guest experience.
