Though breakfast isn't offered on-site, which is not uncommon for the area, visitors find nearby dining options, such as a charming bar 500 meters away, to explore for morning meals. The lack of breakfast doesn't detract from the overall appeal, given the reasonable room rates and cost-effective dining alternatives.
The hotel's restaurant is a standout feature, renowned for its hearty, home-cooked meals and welcoming atmosphere. Guests particularly praise the beef goulash with spaetzle, complemented by good beers and wines. The generous portions and reasonable prices add to the dining experience, along with the friendly service provided by the staff. Ample parking also makes dining stress-free.
Accommodations at Gasthof Papillon are consistently clean, with spacious and well-maintained rooms offering a restful space for travelers. The simple yet functional design of the rooms, complete with comfortable beds, meets guests' needs for short stays or stopovers. Despite some dated furnishings, the cleanliness and cozy atmosphere resonate well with visitors.
