Sonesta Select Columbia offers a mixed experience with its pool facilities. Guests generally appreciated the pool and outdoor areas, noting that the indoor heated pool with late operating hours was a delightful feature. Its warm water and convenient indoor location added to the guest experience. Despite a few mentions of the pool being small and sometimes crowded, many guests found it pleasant and clean with dimmed evening lights creating a relaxing ambiance.
However, several guests voiced concerns about the cleanliness and availability of the pool. Reports indicated cloudy, filthy or contaminated water at times, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, there were frequent mentions of the pool being closed unexpectedly, often without prior warning. This recurrent closure left many guests disappointed, especially those who were looking forward to swimming.
Though the pool area was described as nice and the heated pool much appreciated, the maintenance and communication regarding its availability seem to require significant improvement. Despite these issues, many visitors enjoyed the balcony views overlooking the pool and the overall warmth and comfort provided by the indoor pool setting.

Many guests appreciate the heated pool and the accompanying hot tub, noting both for being clean and in good working order. This focus on cleanliness extends to the facility's towels and washcloths, which are readily available upon request, ensuring a comfortable experience for visitors. The pool's accessibility is also commended, making it inviting and suitable for families keeping an eye on their children. However, some observations about the pool area mention a tired appearance and occasional lack of atmosphere, indicating potential areas for enhancement. Despite a few mentions of ants and a slightly drab environment, the overall impressions underscore the pool as a beautiful and inviting feature of a stay at this hotel.

The pool at Turf Valley Resort is a highlight for many guests who have stayed at the hotel. With both indoor and outdoor options, the pool area is bigger than expected and perfect for families, especially with the fun outdoor pool that kids just love. While some guests felt that the pool hours were not long enough, others raved about the hot sauna and peaceful quiet bar area. Overall, guests appreciated the amenities at the pool with towels available all day and clean facilities. The only downside was that the pool did get crowded at times and some guests experienced slow service at the poolside restaurant. Despite this, the pool at Turf Valley Resort is definitely a great place to relax and have fun.
