Guests appreciate the hotel's proximity to transport, restaurants, shops and the scenic Brisbane River, making it an excellent base for both business and leisure travelers.
The accommodations are noteworthy for their spaciousness with large, comfortable apartments that include essential amenities such as kitchens and laundry facilities. Balconies often offer stunning views of the city or river, adding to the appeal. However, some guests note that the rooms and certain appliances are outdated and require refurbishment. Cleanliness and maintenance issues, such as worn fittings and inconsistent housekeeping, are occasionally mentioned, but the overall comfort and the central location are well-regarded.
The staff at Oaks Brisbane River City Suites receive generally positive feedback for their friendliness and helpfulness. Reception staff are especially commended for their polite and accommodating nature, although there are isolated reports of rudeness and unhelpfulness during the check-in process. WiFi service at the hotel gets mixed reviews. Some guests find it sufficient and fast, while others report issues with reliability and speed with some having to pay for premium access that still didn't meet expectations.
The gym and pool facilities at the hotel add value to the guest experience. The gym, although small, is appreciated for its convenience and maintenance. The pool area receives mixed feedback; it's generally described as clean and enjoyable, but occasional lapses in maintenance like dirt and litter are noted. The heated pool and spa are particularly well-liked, offering a relaxing retreat.
Parking at the hotel is convenient but can be expensive and somewhat challenging to navigate. The availability of spaces varies and the process can be confusing, but the secure parking is a significant plus for those traveling with a vehicle.
For those enjoying Brisbane's nightlife, the hotel's location is ideal, surrounded by bars and eateries. However, the lively environment can lead to noise disturbances at night, which is something to consider for potential guests.
Lastly, the beds at Oaks Brisbane River City Suites generally receive positive reviews for their comfort, though there are mixed opinions. Some find the beds extremely comfortable, while others report discomfort due to bed hardness or issues with bed quality.
In summary, Oaks Brisbane River City Suites offers spacious and comfortable accommodations in a superb location with friendly staff and good amenities.
