Very Good

Location

Nootka Lodge boasts a great location according to guest reviews. The property is surrounded by beautiful foliage and located right on the main highway making it easy to explore the area. Several guests appreciated being close to a Walmart store and a handful of restaurants, while others loved the convenience of having a walking trail right on the property. Despite being located on a busy intersection, the location is very quiet and peaceful. The lodge is also a great base for exploring both New Hampshire and Vermont. Overall, the location of Nootka Lodge received many positive comments from guests.

Breakfast

While many guests were disappointed by the lack of a complimentary breakfast at Nootka Lodge, some appreciated the coffee and cereal bars that were provided. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the hotel was unable to offer room cleaning and the coffee station was limited to one person at a time. While some guests felt that the room price should have included breakfast, others wished for more options beyond coffee and tea. Overall, the breakfast situation at Nootka Lodge leaves room for improvement.

The size of the rooms is great with plenty of space for belongings and the loveseat is a comfortable addition. The location is great for exploring points of interest in the Upper Valley. While some rooms may be outdated, stained, or in need of minor repairs, guests generally enjoy a large, clean and comfortable room. The staff is helpful and friendly, providing excellent customer service. Overall, Nootka Lodge offers a beautiful place to stay with well-located and well-appointed rooms.

Aside from the pool, guests are also pleased with the fresh coffee served in the morning, which is a nice surprise. However, some guests suggested that the pool should be moved to the back of the complex to avoid being seen by people driving by. Others noted that the pool can be crowded at times, but this did not take away from their enjoyment of the amenities provided. Unfortunately, the hot tub is currently unavailable, but overall, guests highly recommend staying at Nootka Lodge.
