Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Casa do Sol Hotel is highly regarded for its exceptional location, situated right at the entrance of Petrópolis with stunning views of the Quitandinha Palace and its lake. Its proximity to popular dining spots like Lago Sul restaurant, Tugas pizzeria and Bárbaros pub adds convenience for culinary enthusiasts. The hotel’s scenic and safe surroundings make it an excellent choice for families with clean facilities that contribute to a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The hotel's breakfast experience receives predominantly positive feedback, noted for its variety and quality, complemented by beautiful lake views. Guests often describe it as delicious, hearty and satisfying, although some suggest that the options and quality could be more consistent. Despite these minor criticisms, the combination of good food, attentive staff and a pleasant dining environment makes the breakfast a highlight for many.
While the hotel does not currently offer dinner services, which some guests find inconvenient, rooms are praised for their spaciousness, comfort and beautiful views. Cleanliness is generally excellent, although a few areas could use deeper cleaning. Some minor detractors include outdated furniture, lack of air conditioning or heating and occasional noise from busy avenues, but overall, the accommodations are well-received.
The staff at Casa do Sol Hotel is frequently singled out for commendation. Their friendliness, helpfulness and attentiveness significantly enhance the guest experience. Service provided by receptionists like Mônica, Bruno and Raquel is particularly noted for its excellence, contributing to the hotel’s welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel's free Wi-Fi service garners less favorable reviews due to its weak and unreliable connection, especially within rooms. However, the hotel compensates with its superb pool area. The outdoor pool is described as clean, spacious and inviting, ideal for relaxation and swimming, further enriched by additional leisure facilities like a game room, children's room and sauna.
Parking is another convenience with private and covered spots available, though the limited space can sometimes be a minor issue. Nevertheless, the safe and secure parking adds to the overall positive experience.
Casa do Sol Hotel stands out as a family-friendly destination, offering excellent facilities for children and ample amenities that cater to family needs. With peaceful surroundings, outdoor play areas and suitably conditioned pools, the hotel ensures a delightful stay for families.
Beds are generally comfortable with clean and pleasant bed linens, though a few guests mention hard mattresses and some discomfort with pushed-together single beds.
In summary, Casa do Sol Hotel excels in providing a stunning location, excellent service and a family-friendly environment. Despite some areas that could benefit from improvement, the overall guest experience is positive, marked by good facilities, helpful staff and a clean, welcoming atmosphere.
