Many guests appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, clean facilities and the welcoming ambiance bolstered by a friendly and helpful staff.
The breakfast experience receives mixed reviews with many guests applauding the ample variety and quality of offerings, describing them as delicious and fantastic. However, some noted inconsistencies in availability and quality, along with operational drawbacks. Despite these hiccups, a significant portion of visitors found the breakfast enjoyable due to its wide selection and flavors.
Regarding the rooms, guests generally found them spacious, clean and comfortable, especially appreciating features like in-room hot tubs and cozy beds. Cleanliness is often highlighted positively, although some reviews pointed out issues in specific areas such as dirty coffee pots and stained furniture. The decor may feel dated to some, but the overall comfort and size of the rooms were well-received.
The staff consistently receives high praise across reviews, described as friendly, courteous and efficient. Many guests appreciated the ease of check-in and check-out, attributing the smooth process to the accommodating nature of the personnel. Specific commendations were given to front desk staff and management, who played pivotal roles in maintaining the lodge’s service standards.
The indoor-outdoor pool concept drew several positive remarks for its design and potential with the heated pool being a notable feature. However, maintenance issues such as peeling paint, algae and cleanliness problems were frequently mentioned, suggesting the area could benefit from more attention to enhance guests' experience fully.
Finally, the beds at Carlton Lodge Hotel and Suites garnered mixed feedback. While many guests found them very comfortable and conducive to a good night's sleep, others experienced discomfort due to harder mattresses and occasional issues like worn-out beds or even bed bugs. Cleanliness of the beds was generally praised, which did contribute to many guests opting to stay.
In summary, Carlton Lodge Hotel and Suites stands out for its strategic location, courteous staff and comfortable accommodations, though attention to certain operational and maintenance details could elevate the guest experience further.
