Location

Hotel Athina is a great choice for travelers looking for a well-located hotel close to the beach. The property is situated in a quiet area and has easy access to a lovely sandy beach with amazing sunset views. Everything you need is within a walkable distance with dining options just around the corner and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets. The hotel is fantastically situated right on the beach front and some rooms have beautiful views from their terrace in front of the sea. Additionally, it is just next to beautiful sandy beaches and tavernas, making it an ideal location for a relaxed holiday. The location is excellent for those who prefer to stay away from the crowds, yet still have a lively nightlife within 2-3km. All in all, it is a superb location for anyone visiting Agios Stefanos.

Breakfast

The breakfast at Hotel Athina has received mixed reviews. While many guests found the breakfast to be great, terrific and with lots of choices, others felt that the breakfast could be improved and was quite monotonous with every day offering the same limited options. The breakfast buffet included coffee, tea, juices, toasts, fruits, tomatoes, olives, cheese, cold cuts and some British breakfast standard fares such as eggs, beans, bacon and potato hash browns. Some guests particularly enjoyed the sweets section with various cookies and Greek cake slices. However, others complained about the food quality, the limited food variety and even the instant Nespresso coffee which was undrinkable. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there were also long queues for the food and drinks in the morning. The hotel's location and the pleasant dining area with nice views of the sea were some redeeming factors.

Ultimately, Hotel Athina is among the best in its price range in Corfu.
