Is there anything that you would like to highlight, add or clarify?Barefoot at Havelock, formerly known as ‘Jungle Resort’, came into existence in 1995, starting from 6 acres of banana plantation, to which a further 19 acres of areca nut and coconut plantation and paddy land were added over the course of the next decade. From the outset, the effort has been to allow the land to recover from mono culture of introduced trees and crops and replace it with endemic trees mirroring the natural rain forest. The process is an ongoing one, although the results are clearly visible, with more than 600 trees planted by us having reached heights in excess of 40 feet and merging seamlessly with the surrounding jungle.
