Zulu Land Cottages, located near Curlies Beach Shack and Shiva Valley at Anjuna Beach, enjoys a prime location nested in a lush and serene environment. Guests seeking a peaceful retreat close to the vibrant coastal life of North Goa will find this property ideally situated. The cottages are just a short walk from Anjuna Beach, offering easy access to local markets, restaurants and nightlife spots. The well-maintained gardens and natural surroundings add to the tranquility, providing a pleasant and secluded atmosphere.
While the breakfast offerings received mixed feedback with some guests appreciating specific items like omelettes and masala tea, others found the variety and quality lacking. Many were dissatisfied with the limited choices and poor preparation, suggesting significant improvements are needed. On the other hand, dinner fare generally garnered positive remarks for its taste and affordability with many enjoying the mix of Indian and European cuisine. The on-site cafe, facing the beach, was particularly praised for its ambiance and nighttime appeal.
The rooms evoke mixed reactions. Visitors appreciate the cozy and rustic atmosphere with clean and comfortable interiors. However, many found issues with maintenance, citing dated facilities, cleanliness concerns and bathroom hygiene issues. Improvements in these areas could significantly enhance guest satisfaction. The property management seems to struggle with maintaining uniform cleanliness and enhanced housekeeping could resolve many of these issues.
The staff at Zulu Land Cottages receive largely positive reviews, noted for their friendliness, helpfulness and politeness. Specific staff members like Divya, Deepak, Suraj, Kishan, Rahul and Akash have been commended for their excellent service. Despite occasional criticisms regarding management’s responsiveness, the majority of guests found the staff accommodating and attentive.
Wi-Fi connectivity at the cottages is inconsistent. While some guests reported good speeds suitable for remote work, others experienced frequent disconnections and slow service. The limited parking space is another downside with accommodations primarily for two-wheelers, which might require guests to consider alternative transportation.
Zulu Land Cottages is a mixed bag for families with children. While some feel it might not be ideal for family vacations, others found it accommodating and enjoyed their stay. The pet-friendly environment is a major plus, especially for dog owners, who appreciated the welcoming atmosphere for their pets.
Overall, Zulu Land Cottages offers a great location with a serene ambiance and friendly staff. However, improvements in room maintenance, cleanliness and breakfast quality could significantly elevate the guest experience. For those looking for a tranquil beachside retreat with proximity to local attractions, it remains a sought-after destination.
