Art Mai Gallery Nimman Hotel Chiang Mai is highly commended for its outstanding location in the bustling Nimman area, which provides easy access to an array of cafes, restaurants, bars and shopping options. The hotel's proximity to major attractions like the Maya Mall and One Nimman enhances its convenience, making it a superb spot for both leisure and business travelers. Guests appreciate the tranquility found amidst the vibrant surroundings, along with the clean, spacious rooms and friendly staff.
The breakfast experience at the hotel elicits mixed reviews. Many guests find the breakfast to be fresh and good quality with freshly cooked eggs and tasty lattes being particular highlights. The atmosphere is generally pleasant and the staff friendly. However, some guests report a lack of variety and replenishment issues. Cleanliness concerns and limited dietary options are also noted, along with disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rooms are widely praised for their spaciousness, cleanliness and artistic decoration. Comfort is a strong point with many guests highlighting the large, comfortable beds and sizeable bathrooms. Though some reviews mention issues like dim lighting and occasional renovation needs, these are generally outweighed by positive feedback. Beautiful views from higher floors add to the appeal.
Cleanliness of the hotel receives generally favorable feedback with diligent housekeeping and well-kept common areas being noted. Nonetheless, a few guests mention areas needing improvement, such as dusty paintings and mold in bathroom grout, alongside issues with humidity and musty smells in some rooms.
The staff at Art Mai Gallery Nimman Hotel is frequently lauded for their exceptional service, attentiveness and positive demeanor. Specific staff members are mentioned for their extraordinary efforts, contributing significantly to a memorable and pleasant stay.
The gym facilities receive mixed reactions. While some guests appreciate the functional aspect of the gym, others find it basic, small and somewhat outdated. The location of the gym within the main lobby and its limited operational hours are not ideal for some guests.
The rooftop pool is a standout feature, often cited as a highlight for its cleanliness and breathtaking panoramic views, particularly during sunsets. Despite this, some guests note the pool area is smaller than expected and occasionally dirty.
Parking at the hotel is somewhat limited, especially for larger vehicles during peak times, though motorcycle parking is more adequate. The steep ramp to the underground parking presents a challenge for some cars.
The hotel beds are consistently praised for their comfort, contributing to a restful sleep experience. Instances of hard pillows or beds needing replacement are minimal with most guests finding the beds spacious and pleasant.
Despite its five-star rating, some guests feel the hotel falls short of five-star expectations with critiques about the quality of services, extra charges and firm beds. Overall, while the hotel has appealing aspects, it may align more closely with a four-star experience.
