Real de Corralejo presents an overall appealing experience for guests seeking a tranquil and picturesque retreat. The hotel stands out for its serene location, surrounded by beautiful gardens and conveniently close to vineyards and other local attractions. Though a bit secluded and a 25-minute drive from San Miguel de Allende's historic center, it compensates with its peaceful ambiance. Navigating to the hotel can be challenging, especially at night, but once there, guests appreciate the blend of tranquility and accessibility.
The quality of the breakfast is noted for its delicious taste with special touches such as lavender and honey butter. However, the limited continental offering and late service starting times have been points of concern. The dinner experience receives high praise for the food quality, particularly during special events like New Year's Eve, though improvements in service speed and clear communication about operating hours are suggested.
Guests have mixed feelings about the rooms; many praise their cleanliness, spaciousness and charming decor, which adds to the overall pleasant stay. However, there are consistent comments on low water pressure, cold temperatures and lack of essential amenities. The beds are widely considered comfortable, though there are occasional mentions of hard mattresses and inconsistent pillow comfort. Cleanliness is generally highly rated, contributing to a satisfactory accommodation experience.
The staff at Real de Corralejo are frequently highlighted for their exceptional customer service. The friendly and attentive team, including notable members like Kari, Karina, Cristi, Carmen and Joe, consistently enhance the guest experience with their warm and meticulous service.
The pool facilities receive praise for their ambiance and heated water, although some guests have noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance. Families especially enjoy their stay with amenities like a charming small lake, playgrounds and well-maintained green areas that cater well to children.
Overall, Real de Corralejo offers a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing stay, providing good value for money with attentive service in a beautiful setting. Minor improvements in breakfast variety, dinner service hours, room amenities and pool maintenance could further enhance the guest experience.
