Oceania Hôtel d'Anjou Angers, often touted as a 4-star establishment, has received a considerable amount of feedback that suggests it may not fully live up to this classification. Guests have pointed out that the overall experience and comfort provided by the hotel fall short of what is expected from a 4-star rating. The price of €200, which includes breakfast, has also been deemed excessive by some visitors, especially given that the quality of the breakfast does not align with the prestigious setting the hotel aims to project.
Several reviews highlighted that the facilities and services are lacking for a hotel of this caliber. Issues such as a lack of help with heavy luggage, minimal room amenities and outdated furnishings were frequently mentioned. Specific criticisms include insufficient detailing in housekeeping and limited functionality in the bathroom, such as the absence of shelves.
The common theme running through the reviews is a disappointment with the hotel's four-star claim, stating it doesn't meet the expected standards. There were also mentions of inconvenience caused by too many stairs, which can be particularly challenging for elderly or frail guests. Overall, the sentiment is that Oceania Hôtel d'Anjou Angers's service and facilities do not justify its current rating.
