The Sebel Melbourne Docklands Hotel offers an impressive pool area that earns high marks from many guests. Described as real nice, excellent, fantastic and stunning, the pool facilities are also praised for their cleanliness and attractiveness. Families, in particular, find the pool appealing with kids loving the swimming experience. The indoor pool and accompanying amenities like the sauna, spa and gym add to the overall positive impressions.
Despite the accolades, a few concerns regarding accessibility and restrictions dampen some guests' experiences. Several reviews mention frustrations with needing to go outside on cold days to access the pool and having to walk to another building just to get a key. Procedures around pool access are described as inconvenient and even discriminatory by some. Covid restrictions have added further complications, leading to some guests being unable to use the pool during their stay.
Additionally, while some mention that the pool area was fabulous and well-located, others had issues with the need for room key access and limited availability of pool towels. Nonetheless, the overall sentiment reflects that the pool itself is a major highlight of the hotel experience.

The Sebel Residences Melbourne Docklands Serviced Apartments offer an array of swimming facilities that guests have generally found impressive. The indoor pool and spa are highlights with the indoor pool frequently mentioned as particularly nice and loved by kids. The spa, sauna and pool areas collectively create a pleasurable experience for visitors, who appreciate the combined amenities.
However, several reviews note that the access process to these facilities can be cumbersome. Guests occasionally find themselves having to cross the road or navigate separate buildings to reach the pool, gym and sauna. There are also mentions of needing to obtain special access via a key tag from the concierge, sometimes requiring an additional step of showing ID. Some found this extra step and timed access to be inconvenient, especially when not informed upon check-in. Despite these logistical hitches, the facilities themselves, especially the pool, have received positive feedback for their quality and appeal.
