Historic Hotel
The property was constructed in 1911 and was completed in 1913 under the ownership of the Perry brothers. In 1923, an extra storey was added making it once the tallest timber structure in the southern hemisphere. Throughout the decades, it was home to many businesses and even the United States Military in WWII.

This classical building was designed by John Hall & Son and built in 1997 by Abraham James. It was one of the large numbers of hotels in the 1880s, but today it's one of the very few that still stands as a hotel. In 1993, it was added to the Queensland Heritage Register.
