Novotel Charleroi Centre is a functional four-star establishment with a great structure and a clean environment, making it one of the best hotels in the city. The hotel aesthetics meet four-star criteria and it is a new network hotel that corresponds to its high quality standards. Overall, the level of cleanliness is very good and the quality of service is generally aligned with what one would expect from a four-star hotel.
However, there are several areas where the hotel falls short of four-star expectations. Some guests noted that the gym is poorly stocked and poorly lit and the signage could be clearer. Others pointed out that amenities such as a pool, spa, slippers or even a hairdryer were missing, which are typically expected at this level of accommodation. Service quality, while good overall, showed inconsistencies like long waiting times in the restaurant and occasional cleaning issues.
The breakfast has received mixed reviews with many guests feeling that it wasn't worth the price and lacked sufficient options, falling short of four-star standards. Additionally, some found the room design and comfort not quite up to the mark for a hotel of this rating.
Despite being a posh, brand-new hotel with good four-star services and facilities, some guests felt it didn't fully live up to its four-star classification, especially considering the price.
