The Hermitage Hotel, despite its five-star claim, has garnered a series of disappointing reviews from guests, particularly concerning its services and facilities. Many visitors express dissatisfaction with the breakfast offerings, noting limited variety and additional charges for items such as omelets and scrambled eggs, which are typically included in establishments of similar stature. The lack of a stocked minibar and basic amenities, such as items for tea-making, further perplex guests who expect a fully premium experience.
Guests also remark on outdated room furnishings and inadequate maintenance, suggesting the hotel feels more in line with a three-star rather than its promoted five-star status. The general consensus is that the quality has considerably declined over time, with current standards not matching the hefty price tag. Additionally, several reviews highlight insufficient coordination and an unfriendly demeanor among the staff, detracting from the expected refined service.
Overall, the Hermitage Hotel seems to struggle in meeting the expectations of a five-star hotel, leaving many guests longing for improvements in service, modern amenities, and maintenance to better align with its advertised luxury category.
