The property itself harmoniously combines modern amenities with a classic touch in a beautifully restored historic building. Guests appreciate the spacious and clean rooms, comfortable beds and high standards of cleanliness. Despite occasional inconveniences such as construction noise, the hotel's superb central position and welcoming atmosphere make it a perfect base for sightseeing, dining and experiencing local culture.
The breakfast experience at Pestana Porto - A Brasileira is generally well-received with many guests praising the quality, freshness and variety of options available. Highlighting dishes like eggs benedict and fresh pastries, breakfast is often described as delicious and abundant, served in a charming setting. However, some guests noted organizational issues and occasional shortages that detract from its five-star expectations.
The dinner experience, while having moments of excellence—thanks to exceptional service from specific personnel and mentions of Michelin star-quality food—requires improvement. Common criticisms include a limited menu, slow service and long waiting times, along with inconsistencies in honoring dinner reservations. Overall, the dining experience has potential but needs enhancements to meet guest expectations consistently.
Guest rooms are frequently lauded for their comfort, cleanliness and modern design with soundproofing ensuring a quiet environment. Spacious rooms, particularly those on higher floors with city views, add to the appeal. While some mention that certain rooms can feel a bit dark and that some furnishings may need upgrades, the positive aspects, such as excellent shower enclosures and helpful staff, generally overshadow these minor complaints.

The staff at Pestana Porto - A Brasileira are consistently praised for their friendly, professional and attentive nature, significantly enhancing the guest experience. Notable mentions of exceptional assistance from individuals like Guilherme, Pedro and Luis highlight their role in creating a smooth, enjoyable stay.
