Gemma, the manager, was especially welcoming and helpful to visitors. Additionally, the receptionist/barmaid was friendly and helpful. Though some guests had minor issues with staff cleanliness or warmth, the vast majority agreed that the staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Staff were willing to help with heavy luggage, patient when guests couldn't find their room and always in a good mood. Moreover, guests appreciated the staff's communication before arrival, including a message on Booking.com and a welcoming text.
