Villa Raffaella presents itself as a charming and pleasant place, though it is often described as not meeting the expectations of a four-star hotel. The establishment is noted for its beautiful structure, which resonates with a certain style that some guests find appealing. However, many reviews highlight areas that require modernization, particularly concerning the room facilities. The standard rooms and bathrooms are repeatedly mentioned as areas needing improvement, falling short of luxury standards typically associated with a higher star rating.
The Wi-Fi service appears to be unreliable, leading guests to often rely on their mobile data for connectivity, which detracts from the overall experience. While the breakfast meets the expectations of a three-star establishment, guests express a desire for improved quality and a more diverse selection. Despite these challenges, the reception staff are recognized for their friendliness and willingness to help, even if their presence seems limited.
Overall, Villa Raffaella is described as more of a bed and breakfast rather than a fully-fledged four-star hotel. Despite these critiques, guests still find it to be a nice place to stay, suggesting that with some updates and enhancements, it could significantly improve its standing and better align with its intended star rating.

Grand Hotel Mediterraneo is reviewed by guests as falling short of the expectations set by its four-star rating. The general consensus is that the hotel does not meet the typical standards associated with such a rating, with descriptions suggesting a closer alignment to a two-star experience. Concerns about soundproofing arise frequently; visitors mention being able to hear noises from adjacent rooms, such as flushing toilets. The breakfast is described as basic, and the overall décor is considered outdated, not living up to the elegance often anticipated in a higher-rated establishment. Rooms and bathrooms are perceived as modest, with small and low-quality shower facilities that fail to impress.
Moreover, guests express dissatisfaction with additional charges for amenities like hot water for tea, which adds to a sense of inadequacy for a hotel aiming to fulfill a four-star promise. Overall, there is a recurring theme of disappointment with the current condition of the hotel, emphasizing a need for renovation to reach the expected standards. While the seasonal pricing might be attractive, the perceived value for money does not align with the expectations tied to its rating.
