Coconut Cay Resort offers a mixed experience for guests traveling with their furry friends. The hotel is notably pet-friendly with dogs allowed on the premises and a dedicated dog-walking area. Guests have appreciated the ability to bring their pets and even bike to the beach with them. However, this convenience comes with some drawbacks.
The pet fee is a point of contention among visitors with some finding the $50-per-day charge per dog to be excessive, especially for small dogs or multiple pets. This steep fee is not always clearly communicated during the booking process, leading some guests to express their frustration upon arrival.
In terms of amenities, the resort provides boat and trailer parking, which is a plus for guests looking to explore local waters. A grab-and-go breakfast is also offered with some appreciating the convenience despite its simple presentation in a Ziploc bag.
However, the overall dog-friendly atmosphere has some inconsistencies. Guests have noted that dog poop is occasionally found around the swimming pool area and there are frequent complaints about dogs barking, which can be disruptive. Some visitors even mentioned issues with pet hair in rooms, suggesting that the cleaning protocols may need improvement.
While Coconut Cay Resort extends a welcoming hand to guests with pets, the high fees and occasional lapses in maintenance make it essential for potential visitors to weigh these factors before booking.

Kingsail Resort is a welcoming destination for guests traveling with their four-legged companions. The resort allows pets, making it a dog-friendly option for visitors. While there are no specific phrases highlighting extensive dog-centric amenities, the overall environment is accommodating for pets. Guests appreciative of the resort's warm hospitality noted that they were given a wonderful room near the lagoon, which is also conveniently close to waterways. This setting offers an enjoyable experience for both humans and their dogs, with pets reportedly enjoying their stay as much as their owners. However, it's important to note that some guests have experienced issues with pet hygiene, such as unattended dog waste. Additionally, there have been instances of dogs being taken into the pool, which could be a concern for some visitors. Overall, Kingsail Resort provides a pleasant stay for pet owners, albeit with some room for improvement in maintaining shared spaces.
