Daydream Island Resort is situated in a stunning location, surrounded by beautiful waters and amazing scenery. Guests love the environment of being on an island and appreciate the resident wildlife. The resort's perfect location makes it convenient and well-connected to everything guests want to see, including outstanding beaches and the old resort. While limited in dining choices, everything else that guests need is within the resort. Families with children will find plenty to do with great walks and a side beach, as well as the living reef. The location is also great for those looking for a quiet, relaxing destination with not too many people around. Ferry rides to other locations are also easy and convenient. Overall, the position in the Whitsundays is excellent with outstanding views and beautiful scenery.

Breakfast

Daydream Island Resort offers its guests an awesome breakfast experience with a delicious spread of food options. The buffet breakfast is updated most days and has a great variety of meal options. Some guests absolutely enjoyed their breakfast, while others felt that it could be better with a wider choice of food. Nonetheless, the breakfast buffet is excellent and there are options for everyone. From homemade pancakes and scrambled eggs to soup on the menu, the breakfast offers different choices on different days. One unique feature of the breakfast area is the Living Reef that you can view through glass as you eat. Although some guests experienced drama with empty trays and slow restocking of food, most found the buffet breakfast great and it is included in the resort's package. However, some guests felt that breakfast could have been better organized and had more simple options like cheese and crackers. Overall, Daydream Island Resort offers a brilliant idea for families with kids that includes a great breakfast buffet, but there is still room for improvement.

However, there might not be enough sun beds or umbrellas for shade in main pool areas and sometimes the pool surroundings are not tidy enough. Despite these minor challenges, guests can still relax and enjoy the great facilities and pool areas while sipping their drinks and napping on the lovely pool beds.

Beach

Daydream Island Resort is located amongst the breathtaking Whitsundays and boasts a beautiful beach nearby. Although some areas were shut down for renovations, Lovers Cove was a big hit among guests with its stunning crystal clear waters and beautiful scenery. While some mentioned the lack of sand on the beach, the snorkelling off the beach was deemed amazing and the highlight of the trip. Guests loved the opportunity to walk to the other side of the island and relax on the beach all by themselves. One described Lovers Cove as magical with the option to enjoy takeaway food and drinks from the tiny bar while taking in the wildlife.
