Elysium Manly presents itself as a five-star destination, with the historical charm of a beautifully restored hotel complemented by top-quality staff and facilities. However, the experience does not always align with its advertised status. While some amenities are impressive, there are aspects such as the room conditions and bathroom facilities that fall short of the luxury standard expected. Guests have also noted that the shower area and overall service quality do not quite meet the five-star mark. Additionally, the lack of premium amenities like an adequately sized sauna has led to some disappointment among visitors. The hotel's proximity to function areas, leading to noise issues, further detracts from its luxurious appeal. Despite these criticisms, some guests find merit in select offerings, though the overall consensus suggests that the value provided may not fully justify the high costs associated with its five-star rating.
