The pool at Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam has mixed reviews. On the positive side, guests praised the pool for being lovely, warm and clean. Many appreciated that it was heated and found it a nice feature for children. However, numerous issues were reported. Several reviews mentioned that the pool was advertised as open but was actually closed. Cleanliness was a recurring problem with comments about the pool area being dirty or the water appearing greenish. Inconsistent chemical balances were also noted, leading to over-chlorination and unpleasant smells. The lack of available showers in the pool area and limited access to hot tubs were additional drawbacks. Accessibility was another concern, as reaching the pool required navigating without an elevator. Overall, while some guests found the pool to be a pleasant aspect of their stay, others pointed out significant maintenance and access issues that could impact the experience.

Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre Broadway by IHG, is highly praised for its prime location, making it an ideal choice for both leisure and essential visits. Its proximity to Granville Island offers guests a pleasant walk through attractive residential areas and its closeness to medical facilities like Vancouver General Hospital adds convenience for those needing access to healthcare. With nearby access to the Canada Line station and various bus and train options, visitors find exploring downtown Vancouver and its amenities—such as affordable eateries, attractions and shopping centers—straightforward and convenient.
The hotel's accommodations receive positive feedback, particularly for their cleanliness, comfort and well-maintained facilities. Guests appreciate the clean, spacious rooms and comfortable beds with added touches like Dove products and good quality towels enhancing their stay. While some rooms offer excellent city views, the overall atmosphere is quiet and restful. Despite a few comments about the rooms being somewhat outdated or basic for the price, the central location and attentive cleanliness standards make the cost justifiable for many guests.
The breakfast experience evokes mixed feelings with many guests enjoying the good variety, fresh and hot food and the convenience of the buffet remaining open until late morning. The friendly breakfast staff, especially Sandy, also receive commendation. However, some guests find the breakfast buffet repetitive and overpriced with cold food and frozen butter being common criticisms. Despite this, the complimentary breakfast for kids under 12 is a welcomed benefit for families.
One of the hotel's standout features is its staff, who are consistently praised for their friendliness, attentiveness and accommodating nature. From the front desk to the restaurant, the team is described as courteous, professional and eager to provide excellent service, contributing to a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for guests.
Parking at the hotel is convenient with secure and easy access, although the $23 per night fee is considered high by many. Nevertheless, the availability and security of the parking facilities receive positive mentions.
Overall, Holiday Inn Vancouver-Centre Broadway provides a comfortable and clean stay with a strategic location, accommodating staff and generally well-maintained facilities, even if some aspects, like breakfast quality and room pricing, receive mixed reviews. The hotel's emphasis on location, convenience and service makes it a reliable choice for a diverse array of travelers.
