Located in a prime area, Hotel Bayerischer Hof, a 4-star hotel, stands out for its high-quality, tastefully designed rooms and its overall stylish and tasteful ambiance. Many guests find the hotel to be a notable example of the "old school" approach to hospitality, providing a generally pleasant stay as expected from a hotel of this caliber.
However, some aspects of the hotel have not met the 4-star expectations. The quality of the cold cuts and cheese at the breakfast buffet, for instance, was deemed ordinary and not fitting a hotel of this rating. Additionally, several guests were surprised by the lack of air conditioning, especially during warmer temperatures. The absence of basic amenities, such as water or beer in the rooms and a fitness room that could use more features, were also points of contention.
The hotel staff's courtesy was noted, though there were instances where it seemed the service was not up to par, possibly due to a high turnover. The lack of certain facilities, such as a restaurant or bar, also left some guests wanting more from their stay.
All in all, while the Bayerischer Hof fulfills its purpose and offers a charming setting, a few enhancements in amenities and services could significantly elevate the experience to meet the high standards expected of a 4-star hotel.
