Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Vista offers a generally positive experience with a few areas for improvement. The hotel's location is frequently praised for its convenience, sitting close to freeways, shopping centers, gas stations and various dining options. This central position makes it a practical base for both short visits and extended stays, despite some concerns about the neighborhood's safety, which the vigilant staff helps mitigate.
The breakfast provided is a mix of convenience and some limitations. Guests appreciate the inclusion of options such as a waffle bar and other carbohydrate-rich foods, supported by the attentive staff ensuring adequate supply. However, suggestions for more protein options and better organization in the breakfast area are common.
Guest rooms vary in quality with many finding them spacious and comfortable, noting the clean and modern spaces, especially those that are newly renovated. Comfortable beds are a standout feature. Nonetheless, some rooms show signs of needing updates and more thorough cleaning, particularly in the bathrooms and carpets. Issues like moldy smells and maintenance problems are mentioned but tend to be isolated.
Cleanliness across the hotel is inconsistent with some guests reporting very clean rooms and public areas, while others note significant issues such as mold, dirty floors and overall poor maintenance.
The staff repeatedly receives high praise for their friendliness and professionalism. The ease of check-in, the helpful front desk and prompt issue resolution contribute positively to the guest experience, making interactions pleasant and stress-free.
The pool area is another highlight with guests enjoying a relaxing and clean environment. Families particularly note the enjoyment of their children and the comfortable water temperature, enhancing their stay.
Overall, Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Vista presents a comfortable and convenient option with a friendly staff and satisfactory amenities, though with some room for improvement in cleanliness and breakfast variety.
