Seehotel Schlierseer Hof is a charming retreat located right by the picturesque Lake Schliersee, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and serene sunsets. The hotel's prime lakeside location is a highlight, featuring direct access to the lake, a spacious terrace, garden and pool area, all inviting guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings.
Guests consistently praise the excellent breakfast, noted for its generous and diversified buffet offerings, including fresh fruits, pastries and options catering to various dietary preferences. The breakfast experience is enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff and the scenic views from the breakfast room or the terrace, providing a picturesque start to the day.
While dinner experiences are mixed, many guests appreciate the generous portions and tasty options, especially the Wiener Schnitzel. The ambiance of the restaurant and beer garden is often commended, though some reviews mention variability in food quality and availability. Despite these occasional drawbacks, the dining setting remains enjoyable and is complemented by the proximity to the town and other dining options.
The rooms at Seehotel Schlierseer Hof are generally well-received, particularly those with lake views. Guests find the renovated rooms modern, cozy and clean, though there are mentions of some rooms needing updates. Noise and the lack of air conditioning are noted concerns, but the cleanliness and comfort level are overall satisfactory.
The exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the staff significantly enhance the guest experience. From the reception to the restaurant team, the staff’s warm and accommodating nature is frequently highlighted, contributing to a welcoming and pleasant stay.
The outdoor pool area, although occasionally closed, is a standout feature, offering direct lake access and a relaxing atmosphere with lounge chairs and lake views. Families find the hotel particularly inviting with spacious family rooms and a family-friendly environment. However, the breakfast room could benefit from better noise management and seating arrangements.
Guests have mixed feelings about the beds with comments ranging from comfortable to overly soft and in need of replacement. While the hotel boasts a beautiful four-star setting, many reviewers feel that it falls short of the expectations associated with its rating due to the dated facilities and a need for comprehensive renovations.
Overall, Seehotel Schlierseer Hof excels with its breathtaking location, warm hospitality and serene lakefront amenities, making it a recommended destination for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty. However, improvements in certain areas could elevate the experience to fully match the hotel's four-star aspirations.
