While the pool's availability and condition seemed inconsistent, it remained a valued amenity when accessible and properly maintained.

La Quinta by Wyndham Indianapolis South enjoys favorable reviews, particularly due to its excellent location and accessible amenities. Guests often highlight the convenience of its proximity to downtown, the interstate and various dining and shopping options. The hotel's clean and spacious rooms are also frequently praised, contributing to an overall comfortable stay. The location is suitable for both travelers and those attending local events with easy access to key highways making it a preferred choice. The breakfast and friendly service are additional perks, emphasizing the hotel’s great value for the price.
Regarding breakfast, La Quinta by Wyndham Indianapolis South receives mixed reviews. Many guests compliment the diverse choices and good quality of items like tasty omelets and sausages and the clean and well-set breakfast area enhances their experience. However, some guests find the breakfast limited, especially for vegetarians or those avoiding pork and mention stale food and minimal selections.
Room reviews reveal a balance of positives and negatives. Many guests appreciate the clean, comfortable and spacious rooms with modern amenities. However, some find the decor outdated and report issues like uncomfortable beds, maintenance problems and noise from neighboring rooms due to thin walls. While the hotel provides generally pleasant accommodations, there is room for improvement.
Cleanliness also receives mixed feedback. Many guests note the clean and comfortable rooms, a spotless gym facility and a pleasant fresh smell upon entering the building. Yet, there are complaints about stained carpets, dirty elevators, neglected bathrooms and a pervasive musk or mildew smell in some areas, indicating a need for more consistent cleaning.
The staff at La Quinta by Wyndham Indianapolis South are highly praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. Guests rave about the courteous and professional demeanor of the team, particularly the front desk staff, who make the check-in and check-out processes smooth and welcoming. Despite a few isolated instances of untrained or less concerned members, the overall service experience is positive.
The gym offers a decent workout environment with facilities like a weight room and fitness room. However, the limited exercise equipment and inconsistent access to the gym are noted drawbacks.
Families find the hotel welcoming with spacious rooms, a hot breakfast that kids enjoy and pet-friendly policies accommodating both cats and dogs. The convenient location further adds to its appeal for families visiting Indianapolis for events.
Guest opinions on the beds are varied. Many find the beds comfortable and clean with an abundance of pillows and nice blankets contributing to a cozy sleep environment. However, some guests report issues with sagging, uncomfortable mattresses and beds being on the bare floor or stained.
Overall, La Quinta by Wyndham Indianapolis South offers a comfortable stay with an excellent location and friendly service, though there are areas in need of improvement to ensure a more consistently positive guest experience.
