The hotel offers a peaceful and secure ambiance without compromising accessibility, making it a convenient choice for travelers.
The breakfast experience is highly praised for its variety and quality. Guests enjoy options like scrambled eggs, sausages, waffles, fresh pastries, fruit, yogurt and various beverages. The friendly kitchen staff and clean dining area enhance the positive morning experience. However, some guests suggest expanding the selection, especially on weekends and providing additional seating during peak times.
Rooms at the property are generally spacious, comfortable and clean, featuring amenities such as mini-fridges and microwaves. Recent refurbishments have made some rooms feel fresh and updated. Despite these positives, some rooms suffer from maintenance issues, unpleasant odors and noise transfer, indicating areas for improvement in overall upkeep.
Cleanliness, while generally good in individual rooms, does need attention in certain common areas. Hallway carpets, for instance, are often described as dirty and smelly. Still, the majority of guests find the accommodations clean and well-kept with the exterior and parking lot contributing positively to the experience.
The staff at Hampton Inn Atlanta-Northlake receive high marks for their friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism. Guests appreciate the warm service from housekeepers to front desk employees, which significantly enhances their stay. Although a few instances of unprofessional behavior were mentioned, the overall guest sentiment towards the staff remains highly favorable.
Modern conveniences such as mobile check-in and room key access via a dedicated app are well-received. However, the Wi-Fi quality varies with some guests finding it unreliable or slow.
The fitness center appears underwhelming with frequent reports of broken equipment and limited space impacting its usability. Meanwhile, the hotel is noted for being family-friendly, offering a safe and comfortable environment for children with attentive staff ensuring family needs are met.
Beds receive mixed reviews—many guests find them comfortable with soft pillows, while others report issues like hard mattresses or stained linens. Concerningly, a few mentions of bed bugs highlight the need for more stringent quality checks.
While undergoing renovations, the property still provides a decent experience consistent with typical three-star expectations. The location, affordability and friendly staff together make it a reasonable choice for a weekend stay, despite some dissatisfaction among business travelers regarding noise, room pricing and the impact of renovations.
Accessibility is another strong point with numerous features designed for guests with disabilities, including convenient parking and overall accommodating facilities. Minor issues like treadmill access in the gym are noted, but the hotel generally provides a comfortable and inclusive environment.
