The Barnstaple Hotel boasts a range of excellent pool facilities that have been well-received by guests. Visitors consistently mention that both the indoor and outdoor pools are lovely, clean and warm, providing a comfortable experience whether you're looking to swim for fitness or leisure. The pools are considered a fantastic addition to the hotel's amenities with a variety of options, including a kids' pool, a small heated pool, multiple pools and a spa with a sauna.
However, guests have noted that at times the pool area can become overcrowded and a bit noisy, which might impact the overall experience. There are also mentions of the indoor pool being a bit cold occasionally and the outdoor pool being closed at times. Some have pointed out that the pool area could use some renovation and upkeep, such as cleaning bird droppings from the plastic chairs.
Nevertheless, the general sentiment is positive with guests appreciating the nice leisure center, comfortable facilities and the convenience of having rooms close to the pool area. The availability of children's drinks by the poolside and a pleasant outside sitting area further enhance the appeal of the pool facilities at The Barnstaple Hotel.
