Pentahotel Leuven has garnered mixed feedback from guests regarding its four-star rating, facilities and services. While some note that it indeed carries the marks of a four-star hotel with stylish decor and quality fittings, others find that it falls short of the typical expectations for such a rating. Guests consistently remarked that the room and bathroom amenities were sparse and not up to par with a true four-star hotel.
The soundproofing in the rooms was another point of contention with many finding it inadequate, leading to noise disturbances, which are especially notable given the hotel's central location near student areas. Cleanliness was another issue, as several reviews mentioned dust and an overall lack of the expected cleanliness standards for a four-star hotel.
Breakfast also seemed to miss the mark, described as mediocre and not in line with what one would expect from a hotel of this rating. The breakfast area was also considered too small to comfortably accommodate the number of guests.
Overall, Pentahotel Leuven does offer a chic ambiance and is centrally located, but guests have found that certain aspects, such as room quality, service and amenities, do not consistently meet four-star expectations. This has led to some feeling that the hotel's value does not align with its pricing.

Martin's Klooster, categorized as a four-star hotel, manifests a blend of positive and critical opinions from guest reviews. Many guests recognize that the hotel meets the standards one would expect from a four-star establishment with some highlighting it as among the best in its class. The four-star rating is evident in the luxury and comfort of the rooms, often described as luxurious and fully utilisable.
However, the absence of amenities like a swimming pool or sauna is seen as a drawback for a hotel of this caliber. The building's decor and facilities are noted to be somewhat outdated, needing renovation to match the expectations associated with its rating. While the hotel maintains cleanliness and qualitative standards, many reviewers feel it falls short of what one expects from a four-star establishment. Criticisms include chipped paint in room corners, a lack of proper drop-off facilities in front of the main entrance and the use of cardboard cups for coffee.
