Built in 1892 as a 30-room mansion of Charles and Kate Eisenbeis, Manresa Castle Hotel is said to be haunted by quite a few ghostly apparitions. One of the ghosts who inhabit the hotel is that of a woman who jumped from the hotel's window upon learning the news of her beloved's death in the war. Another one is that of a monk who hanged himself in the attic. The most haunted rooms are said to be 302, 304 and 306, while glasses are shattered or turned upside down on their own in the hotel's bar.
The inventor of the pot brownies, Alice Toklas, is the ghost who haunts Sorrento Hotel. Usually, guests see her wandering around the 4th floor or at the bar and she is said to be responsible for moving the guests' glasses when they're not paying attention.
