DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach is highly regarded for its prime location. Guests love that it's just steps away from a beautiful beach and close to key attractions such as shopping centers, dining options and major amenities. While not directly on Hollywood Beach, its placement right across the street makes it easily accessible and offers a quieter vibe compared to more crowded areas. Views of the intercoastal waterway add to the appeal and the spacious, well-equipped rooms further enhance the experience.
The breakfast service receives mixed reviews. While the staff and menu selection, including items like avocado toast and omelettes, are praised, the high cost and lack of variety are points of contention. Some guests were also dissatisfied with the service speed and the absence of a buffet option, leading to a less than optimal dining experience.
The dinner experience also presents a mixed bag. Guests often praise the food quality and poolside dining ambiance. However, high prices, limited menu options and inconsistent operational hours diminish the overall satisfaction. The absence of room service and the restaurant’s proximity to the parking lot further detract from the dining experience.
The rooms receive commendations for their spaciousness and comfort with features like kitchenettes, microwaves and balconies being particularly appreciated. However, recurring issues with cleanliness and maintenance, such as dusty vents and non-functional air conditioning, need attention to enhance guest satisfaction.
Cleanliness across the resort presents a similar dichotomy. While some guests find the hotel clean and fresh upon arrival, many express concerns about dirty rooms and insufficient housekeeping services, pointing to a need for more consistent upkeep.
The hotel's staff generally earns high marks for their friendliness and professionalism with many guests noting exceptional service from specific individuals. Despite occasional issues with communication and reception, the overall impression is one of a welcoming and helpful team.
The free WiFi service is generally viewed positively with most guests finding it reliable and functional.
The gym, though small, is well-maintained and adequately equipped, meeting most guests' fitness needs. Occasional noise from equipment and some outdated elements are minor drawbacks.
The pool is a significant highlight, often described as beautiful and well-designed, providing a relaxing atmosphere with good service and amenities. Some guests mentioned issues with temperature and occasional maintenance lapses, but these do not overshadow the overall positive experience.
Proximity to the beach is a major asset with easy access just a short walk away. The provision of beach amenities like chairs and umbrellas is well-received, though overcrowding and occasional dirtiness of the beach area have been noted.
Parking receives mixed feedback. While the valet service is efficient and friendly, the cost is a common complaint with many guests finding it expensive and preferring more transparent pricing or self-parking options.
The hotel offers a generally positive experience for families with amenities like the pool and splash pad being popular among children. However, some guests feel the resort does not fully cater to all family needs.
In summary, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach is favored for its excellent location, spacious rooms and a generally friendly staff, though improvements in dining options, cleanliness and parking pricing could significantly enhance the guest experience.
