Location

Sun Beach Resort is conveniently located on the beachfront with easy access to a supermarket and numerous restaurants and shops in the vicinity. The location is quiet and ideal for exploring all parts of the island. Guests can enjoy beautiful views of the sea and a nice beach while staying here. Although some guests mentioned that Ialysos - the town where the hotel is located - can be boring, it is a perfect location for those who want to be close to local restaurants and have easy access to/from the airport and Rhodes city. The only downside of the location seems to be the planes that fly low over the beach due to the proximity of the airport. However, some guests still appreciated the convenience of being very close to the airport. All in all, Sun Beach Resort boasts a great location for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Rhodes.

The breakfast at Sun Beach Resort receives glowing reviews from guests with many describing it as "really good" or "superb." There is plenty of variety for both hot and cold options, including different types of milk for those with dietary restrictions. The breakfast is described as abundant with a good selection of food that is great and nice. Some guests comment on the superb food and vast selection available for breakfast and dinner. Families appreciate the separate corner for children with kid-friendly items like nuggets and fries. While a few guests mention poor breakfast quality or a lack of certain items like salads or desserts/sweets, the majority speak positively about the breakfast arrangements at the hotel. Overall, the breakfast is praised for its variety and quality with many guests enjoying the different healthy options available.

Dinner

Sun Beach Resort offers a buffet-style restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, which receives mostly positive reviews from guests. While some guests point out that there could be more diverse options for vegetarians, others praise the daily changing Greek specialty served by the chef. The dinners are described as "awesome" and "very good," with tasty meals and a large selection of desserts. The staff also receives compliments for being accommodating and friendly. However, a few guests express disappointment with the quality and value for the money of the food with one guest even describing it as "schrecklich." The cost of beverages during dinner and lunch is also noted as high. Overall, the restaurant at Sun Beach Resort seems to offer decent food with some room for improvement in terms of diversity and value for money.

Rooms

Sun Beach Resort offers a variety of spacious and clean rooms with well-equipped kitchens and dining areas. Many guests loved the great views, especially from the seafront rooms with balconies. Comfortable beds and good breakfasts add to the positive experience. The rooms are generally clean and meticulously maintained and the whole facility is very clean. However, some of the rooms are outdated and need renovation to improve their appearance. Guests also complained about some old mattresses that provide no back support, cheap toiletries and no sun loungers on the terrace despite being advertised. Nevertheless, the resort offers beautiful and comfortable accommodation for guests of all ages with a great pool area and stunning sea views.

Beds

Guests staying at Sun Beach Resort have had mixed experiences with the beds provided. While some found them to be comfortable and spacious, others were disappointed with the quality and configuration of the beds. One guest noted that the single beds pushed together to make a double bed were not suitable for couples, while another guest found the mattresses to be worn and uncomfortable. However, there were also positive reviews with some guests praising the softness and comfort of the beds, particularly in the deluxe sea view apartments. Families with young children should be aware that some beds are quite high and may not be suitable for smaller children. Additionally, some guests noted issues with noisy surroundings or additional charges for beach chairs, but overall the hotel was highly rated by many guests.

Cleanliness

Sun Beach Resort prides itself on their impeccable cleanliness, which is evident from the numerous positive reviews. Guests rave about the clean rooms and bathrooms with several mentioning that the hotel is well-maintained and tidied on a daily basis. The swimming pool area is spotless and the hotel compound is also well-managed. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating, ensuring that the rooms are clean and comfortable with clean towels and bed linen provided regularly. While housekeeping may have missed a few spots, it is not a major issue and guests appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel. However, some guests noted some improvement areas, such as sweeping the balcony or mopping the floor under the bed. Nonetheless, Sun Beach Resort is a clean, cozy and comfortable accommodation choice for any traveler looking for a spotless hotel.

Wi-Fi

Sun Beach Resort offers a variety of amenities for a comfortable stay, however, guests have reported some issues with the hotel's wifi. While some guests have experienced poor internet connection, others have faced total disconnections from their rooms. Despite these challenges, the hotel management is aware of the issue and has put in place a system that requires guests to re-register for the wifi every day to ensure stable connectivity. Some guests have also found the wifi to be unstable with slow data speeds and frequent disconnections, particularly around the pool area. Overall, the hotel's wifi can be described as average with some challenging hiccups.

Guests also noted that towels and sunbeds can be hard to come by with some being "reserved" by other guests early in the morning. Despite a few minor issues, most guests enjoyed the pool areas and praised the friendly and helpful hotel staff.

Beach

If you're looking for a hotel right on the beach, Sun Beach Resort may be the perfect choice for you! You can easily access the sea as it's just a few steps away from the hotel. However, keep in mind that the beach is not always ideal, as it's pebbled, rocky and very windy most of the time. Some guests complained about the discomfort it caused, especially for small children. On top of that, there were reports of the beach being dirty, which included cigarettes and palm leaves. Despite all that, some visitors enjoyed their time on the beach, praising its cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere. It's worth mentioning that, at times, you have to pay for the sun beds located on the beach. If you don't mind a beach of pebbles or stones, then the Sun Beach Resort and its beach can satisfy your needs.

Family

Sun Beach Resort is the ideal family-friendly destination for those looking for a good getaway with children. The hotel offers a great variety of play and entertainment options for kids, including a nice playground and specially designed swimming pools. Guests can relax by the fantastic infinity adults only pool or hang out at the kid's pool on the other side. The hotel also provides a Kids Club and a children's corner with nuggets, fries, spaghetti bolognese. However, there were plenty of positive comments with some guests stating that everything was perfect during their stay. All in all, the Sun Beach Resort is a super hotel worth visiting, despite some guests claiming it doesn't fully merit its four-star rating.

Children's Pool

The resort has several pool areas, including two with water slides specifically for children. The pool is also easily accessible for families with small children. The resort has a playground as well. The only negative comment was that the children's pool was located in a separate building from the adult pool. Overall, guests were pleased with the children's pool and recommended it for families with young children.

Outdoor Pool

The Sun Beach Resort boasts not one, not two, but three marvelous pools on its premises - including an infinity pool reserved exclusively for adults with breathtaking sea views. Though some guests do 'reserve' poolside sun beds with towels, there are still plenty of spots to relax and soak up the sun throughout the day.
