Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
The DoubleTree by Hilton Florence Metropole enjoys a largely positive reputation among guests, particularly for its strategic location, ample amenities and friendly staff. Positioned conveniently close to the international airport and highway, the hotel is ideal for travelers looking to explore Tuscany or attend events at nearby venues like Wanny Palace and the Visarno Arena. Though the distance from Florence's historic center could be a drawback for tourists, the hotel mitigates this with a regular shuttle service, providing easy access to the city center. The tranquil and quiet suburban setting adds to the charm, offering stunning views from higher floors and the convenience of nearby shopping and dining options.
Breakfast at the DoubleTree by Hilton Florence Metropole is generally well-received, noted for its variety and quality, catering to diverse dietary needs, including options for people with celiac disease. While some guests pointed out areas for improvement like the attentiveness of the staff and the value for the price, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction. The dining experience at dinner, however, received mixed reviews. While many appreciate the excellent service and the quality of food, others felt the menu lacked variety and could benefit from improvements.
Guest rooms are praised for their spaciousness, comfort and cleanliness. Modern bathrooms, large TVs and often breathtaking views contribute to a positive stay experience. Despite some reports of outdated furnishings and occasional maintenance issues, most visitors commend the hotel's room comfort and luxurious appeal. Cleanliness is an area that generally receives high marks, though a few comments suggest room for more rigorous housekeeping efforts.
The staff at DoubleTree by Hilton Florence Metropole are frequently highlighted for their friendliness, professionalism and helpfulness, particularly at the reception and in the restaurant. While there were a few isolated incidents of less than favorable interactions, the overall impression is decidedly positive with many guests noting how the staff's dedication and courtesy enhance their stay.
The hotel's amenities receive varied feedback. The fitness center is widely praised for its quality and maintenance, making it a highlight for fitness-driven guests. On the other hand, the pool facilities fall short of expectations, often being closed or under maintenance with some guests finding the extra charge for pool access unreasonable. The WiFi service also shows inconsistency, excelling in speed and connectivity in some areas while being unreliable in others, particularly in basic room categories.
Parking at the hotel is ample and generally convenient, although the additional daily fee is a point of contention for some guests. Despite occasional logistical issues, the availability of extensive parking options, including complimentary street parking, is appreciated.
Families find the DoubleTree by Hilton Florence Metropole accommodating with connected room options and the helpfulness of the staff contributing to a pleasant stay. The complimentary shuttle and ample breakfast offerings also make it a comfortable choice for those traveling with children.
In summary, the DoubleTree by Hilton Florence Metropole stands out for its convenient location, comfortable rooms and exceptional staff. Despite some areas needing improvement, such as dinner options, pool facilities and consistent WiFi, the overall guest experience remains positive. The hotel's combination of tranquility, convenience and quality service makes it a favorable choice for travelers to Florence.
