The Hide on Claremont receives high praise for its prime location, offering convenient proximity to key venues, stores and the Bosman station, set in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Guests appreciate the serene, clean and strategically situated surroundings, enhancing their overall experience. The rooms are frequently highlighted as spacious, clean and well-equipped with mini kitchens, modern amenities like free Wi-Fi and Netflix and a homely feel, adding to the comfort and convenience of the stay.
The hotel's exceptional cleanliness extends to all areas with rooms and common spaces described as modern, fresh smelling and impeccably maintained. The staff at The Hide On Claremont are noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, creating a welcoming atmosphere and going above and beyond to assist guests, contributing significantly to a pleasant and familial experience.
The Wi-Fi service, generally stable and uncapped, is a notable plus with many guests enjoying seamless streaming services like Netflix and YouTube. Although there are some reports of occasional slow speeds and connectivity issues, overall, guests find the Wi-Fi functional and satisfactory.
Parking, while offering both private and covered options, has mixed reviews. While some appreciate the ample and safe parking spots, others express concerns about safety, the functionality of the gate motor and the adequacy of the parking shelter for larger vehicles.
On a less positive note, the beds receive consistent criticism for being old, uncomfortable and in need of replacement with guests reporting deteriorated mattresses, broken legs and issues with electric blankets, which have significantly impacted their sleep quality.
Overall, The Hide On Claremont is commended for its strategic location, cleanliness, exceptional staff and well-appointed rooms, providing good value for money and a comfortable stay, although improvements in bed quality and parking facilities are needed.
