Royal Hotel - Urban Living in Switzerland has faced criticism regarding its four-star rating, which many guests found questionable. Visitors commonly noted that the hotel’s facilities and services fell short of four-star expectations, likening the experience to that of a three-star establishment. The decor throughout the hotel, including the lobby under renovation and the breakfast room, was seen as uninviting and plain, lacking the harmony and warmth expected from a hotel of its supposed caliber.
Guests pointed out that the room furnishings felt cold and cheap, not aligning with a four-star experience. Concerns were raised about the limited availability of reception staff, a notable shortcoming for a hotel marketed at this level. This disparity between expectation and reality left guests feeling that the high prices were unwarranted given the minimal amenities offered. Overall, reviews suggest that the hotel may need to make significant improvements to meet the standards typically associated with a four-star rating.
