Nestled amidst lush mountains and cardamom plantations, guests are treated to serene surroundings with breathtaking views, particularly from balconies that evoke a treehouse feel. Its proximity to the Periyar Tiger Reserve adds an adventurous element, appealing to nature enthusiasts and providing a picturesque backdrop ideal for a weekend getaway.
Guests consistently praise the delightful dining experiences, notably the extensive and delicious breakfast buffet that showcases traditional South Indian delicacies alongside a variety of options for diverse palates. While the dinner receives commendations for its taste and variety, some guests express a preference for the buffet over the a la carte menu due to the limited availability of regional dishes. The restaurant staff enhance the dining experience with their welcoming and attentive service.
Accommodations at The Mountain Courtyard are spacious and well-maintained, with many guests appreciating the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The decor complements the surrounding natural beauty, and the inclusion of essential amenities ensures convenience. Although some mention a need for room upgrades and improved maintenance in certain areas, the hotel grounds, including the pool and gardens, are generally well-kept and contribute to a pleasant atmosphere.
The staff's exceptional service is a standout feature, frequently described as friendly, attentive, and courteous. Their professionalism and eagerness to assist create a warm and welcoming ambiance, making guests feel valued and appreciated.
While the pool area offers a relaxing setting amidst lush gardens, some guests find its size small and note maintenance issues. However, many still enjoy its tranquil environment and inviting atmosphere.
Although the resort is marketed as a five-star destination, some guests feel that certain accommodations and services align more closely with a four-star standard. Despite these concerns, the overall ambiance and quality dining experiences leave a lasting impression.
For romance seekers, the hotel's stunning views and serene setting provide a romantic retreat. Whether enjoying the privacy of the balconies or leisurely exploring the splendid gardens, couples find it an enchanting escape.
In summary, The Mountain Courtyard Thekkady offers a rejuvenating escape with its blend of natural beauty, comfort, and hospitality, making it a memorable experience for travelers seeking tranquility and flavorful culinary adventures.
