Summary of reviews
Summarized by AI
Favehotel MEX Tunjungan Surabaya stands out as a strategically located accommodation in the bustling heart of Surabaya, providing guests with easy access to shopping centers, dining options, and local attractions. Its proximity to Tunjungan Plaza and main transportation routes makes it an appealing choice for both leisure and business travelers. Despite its central location, the hotel maintains a peaceful atmosphere, further complimented by affordable rates and a friendly, efficient staff.
Guests find value in the inclusive breakfast offering, which includes a selection of local Indonesian dishes and Western options, despite some noting a limited variety. The breakfast buffet provides a good start to the day, even if it doesn’t fully cater to those seeking a broad array of choices.
Room cleanliness is praised, with guests frequently mentioning clean bedding and modern decor that create a cozy ambiance. However, the hotel does face challenges with room amenities, as many rooms lack windows and have minimal natural light. Some guests have reported issues with room size, and the lack of certain amenities and occasional maintenance issues highlight areas needing improvement.
Cleanliness in other areas of the hotel has mixed reviews, with tidy rooms upon arrival being a positive aspect, but issues like dusty hallways and patchy linens detract from the experience. Despite these concerns, the availability of hot water and the welcoming nature of the staff offer redeeming qualities.
The staff at favehotel MEX Tunjungan Surabaya receive high praise for their friendliness and attentiveness, contributing significantly to a welcoming and accommodating environment. Guests appreciate their warm reception and willingness to go above and beyond in service, which enhances the overall comfort of the stay.
Feedback on the beds is largely positive, with guests finding them comfortable and spacious, although some mention issues like soft mattresses and stained sheets. Overall, the combination of a strategic location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations makes favehotel MEX Tunjungan Surabaya a worthwhile option for visitors, though improvements in room amenities and cleanliness could further elevate guest satisfaction.
