The reviews regarding The Coppice's pool reflect a mixed but generally positive experience for guests. Many appreciated the inclusion of an off-site health club that offers a swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which were very much enjoyed. However, there seems to be some confusion as the pool is not on the hotel premises but about a mile away, requiring transportation by car. Some guests found this misleading as the website implied the facilities were on-site. Despite this, the health club benefits were highly valued, although there were minor inconveniences such as the spa having issues with showers during certain visits. Overall, clearer advertising of the pool's location would help manage expectations better, but the off-site amenities themselves were well-received.

Windermere Hillthwaite Hotel boasts a charming indoor swimming pool, which is a delightful addition to the hotel's amenities, often receiving praise for its cleanliness and warmth. Guests appreciated having the flexibility to book private time slots, ensuring exclusive access to the pool and making the experience more enjoyable. The pool area, including a sauna, is generally described as very clean and well-maintained, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere.
However, the pool's size tends to be on the smaller side, which some visitors found limiting and the depth is relatively shallow. Opinions on temperature varied with some finding it perfectly warm while others noted it could be cold at times. Despite these minor criticisms, having the opportunity to relax in the pool and sauna after a day of exploring or during a rainy spell is widely appreciated. The booking system, though occasionally leading to fully booked slots, generally enhances the experience by providing a sense of privacy and exclusivity. Overall, the pool and sauna facilities are considered a significant and welcome feature of the hotel's offerings.
